The final report of the season lands after a week that felt every bit like November—cold, windy, and rainy. Even with the tough conditions and most boats already pulled for the year, there were still some solid opportunities for the anglers willing to grind it out.

Schoolie stripers were steady in the wash along the South Shore, especially early mornings and at dusk. Birds have been a tell tail sign. Gannets have been being seen dive bombing bait and surprisingly close to shore this week. They usually mean there is big bait present. Mostly smaller fish with an occasional in the mis 30 in range. A few small blues mixed in this week especially around the watch hill area.
🔥 Hot Lures: Vudu Shad and JYG soft baits are good choices inside. Breachway Bomber outside. f
The tog bite continues to be strong, helped in part by the lack of angler pressure this late in the season. Fewer boats means more unbothered structure, and those putting in the time were rewarded.
The big headline of the week: a new state-record tautog, just under 24 pounds. An incredible fish, and a fitting finale to Tog Season 2025.
Fresh crabs and a full selection of jigs and rigs in stock!
A few Bonita are still hanging around, but we're talking November numbers—not many, not crazy, but the occasional shot if you're in the right place at the right time.
🔥 Hot Lures: Hogy and JoeBaggs epoxy jigs still catching albies and late-season schoolies alike.
