**Striped Bass**
Bass continue to move in and out of the salt ponds, and the bite around Block Island remains strong. Shark numbers have decreased, making for easier fishing. The breachways have been active at night on the outgoing tide, with reports of nice fish caught on Mag Darters and SuperStrike Needle Fish. The topwater bite has been good at first light off the rocks and beaches. Joe Baggs Skipper & Docs. Some fish are also being caught inside on bucktails and swimbaits. Storm WildEye Swim Shad.
**Fluke**
Surprisingly, a few nice fluke are still being caught along the South Shore beaches. They shouldn't be here much longer, as we haven't had very cold nights, so the water temperature hasn't dropped significantly.
**Bluefish**
Plenty of blues are around, and we're hoping for a strong showing along the beaches as the air gets colder. Large snappers are still in the salt ponds chasing peanut bunker, and some bigger ones are coming from the rocks. Once the striped bass bite slows in the morning, bluefish seem to move in and clean up. Breachway Bomber.
**Albies**
There are still plenty of albies and bonito around. They have been most consistent around the Harbor of Refuge and Fire District Beach but are moving around a lot, chasing bait. Keep your eyes peeled! It appears a large population of bay anchovies has recently moved into our area, which is likely what they are keying in on. Hogy Epoxy Jigs
**Tautog**
While I'm still waiting for colder knuckles, anglers targeting tautog have been doing well. Reports vary on which depths are producing better. More often than not, moving water is key, and once you get a bite going, you're off to the races. Single hook rigs and jigs are performing well. Try using the lightest weight possible while maintaining constant contact with the seafloor. There are still some seabass and scup happy to take your crab bait.
