How to fish the Bottledarter:

The lure is extremely versatile and can be fished in a variety of ways. Here are some effective techniques:

1. Flat calm nights

   • Swim the lure on the surface, much like a metal lip.
   • A painfully slow retrieve creates a nice wiggle and produces a surface wake that is sure to entice some nice fish.

2. Open beach without much current

   • Use a slow, steady retrieve for best results.
   • Mix in a few twitches of the rod tip to make the lure dart effectively.

3. Current rips

   • Cast the lure out and take up the slack to stay in contact as it sweeps through the current.
   • Occasionally take a full crank on the reel while lifting your rod tip (you’ll feel the lure really swim).
   • Reel down slowly while maintaining tension on the line. Repeat this retrieve and hold on!
