Fishing for striped bass has been very good locally this week and expecting the shore fishing to ramp up over the weekend with rough conditions. If you have the right gear fishing in these conditions can sometimes be favorable less people more fish. With fish ranging from schoolie sized to 40-pound mark, you never knowing if your next bite is going to be the big one. Best bites are still coming from around the breachways on an outgoing tide. Other than that local boulder fields and areas in the backwater have been producing quality fish. Larger fish can often be had a night, but the daytime fishing has been consistent.
