Fluke fishing has slowed down this past week with still some of the better reports coming from local grounds. A lot of shorts being caught. As we get later into the month we should see the bite to pick back up a bit. Seabass bite continues to be good with a healthy number of jumbos around.
As the water warms its important to treat your bass with care before release. Limited time out of water as well as getting the fish to the boat quickly can be very beneficial. When your fishing in 30 ft of water and you bring a bass to the surface they are going through a major temperature change as well as getting exhausted from fighting. This is why those methods above will help get a good release.
Tuna reports past couple days started to pick up and plenty of boats headed out this morning. Most fish coming on the jig and a healthy mix of small and large fish.
