Outgoing at night off the Breachways has been okay not as good as it usually is this time of year. Mostly schoolies to slot fish. This is telling me there is a lot more fishing to come. Smaller swimming plugs and even top water seem to be the better producing rotation lures. Otherwise from the surf bucktails and topwater spooks seem to be the ticket.
Lets talk about mullet. We have had mass movements of mullet by the thousands this week. Leaving and entering the salt ponds at night, the majority of there moving happens at night hoping to hide from the bass and blues. The majority of mullet are ranging from 3-6". There has still been an abundance of other bait like Peanut bunker, shad, silversides, jack.
There have been a few more Albies moving around this week but Bonita continue to have a bigger presence. I Would expect to see some change after this storm. Black fishing still remains good with less by catch around.
Tuna bite is still good with the fleet starting to decrease. A handful of boats targeting cod while out there seeming to find a few.
